training for

athletes

Giving the structured athlete the knowledge, strength, and sense of community they need to thrive in their post-collegiate fitness journeys

  • Using set objectives and a baseline, we will develop a custom program to meet your needs. All that is required from you is an understanding of your unique gym environment.

  • 1:1 consulting to get you to where you want to be. Can be done on a weekly or monthly basis to provide feedback on recorded form and programming updates

Through a holistic approach that balances swiftness and solidity, we aim to guide our athletes toward a future of enduring fitness, confidence, and collective achievement.

eric guthrie

MS, CSCS, SCCC, RPR LVL2

Athlete, research nerd, passionate strength coach.

Eric is the founder and lead strength coach of Swift Rock Training.

Bringing with him both the first hand experience as a D1 athlete (punter for University of Iowa 2007-2011), as well as undergraduate degree in Health & Human Physiology, and Masters in Kinesiology from UIC. Eric yields over 10 years of strength and conditioning coaching, most recently gaining the title of Director of Strength and Conditioning at George Washington University where he is responsible for overseeing the entire department and works directly with Gymnastics, Lacrosse, and assisting with Water Polo.

Other than the multitude of certifications, his passion for everything performance is unmatched. He saw the void that happens after graduation, and wants to help athletes who love training continue that journey post-college. Creating Swift Rock has allowed him to continue to practice his passion with graduated athletes in the real world.
